Campus Computing ID (CCID)

Introduction

Your Campus Computing ID (CCID) is your unique identifier and grants you access to most computer-based services on campus. It is automatically assigned to you and generally contains some part of your first and/or last name.

Things You'll Need
  • When you first establish a relationship with the University of Alberta, you will receive an email to your personal email account providing you with your CCID, a temporary password and instructions on how to change your password.

Steps
  1. 1

Before your CCID will grant you access to any services, including email, you need to change the automatically generated password. Instructions for doing so will come with the information that is sent to you.

Tips
  • Your CCID is your default email address (myccid@ualberta.ca)

Warnings
  • Your CCID serves as a key to all your personal records as well as your personal profile in eClass, your email and documents in Apps@uaberta. For your protection and privacy, treat your password very carefully!
