YouTube - Creating Your Apps@UAlberta Channel

Introduction

As a part of your Apps@UAlberta Google account, you have a YouTube account. You need to create a YouTube channel to upload and share videos for your school or work.

Things You'll Need
  • U of A CCID and password.

Steps

    To access your YouTube account, first navigate and log in to your @ualberta.ca gmail inbox.

    Click on the “rubix cube.”

    Your list of connected Apps will pop up.

    You might need to click “More,” in order to see an icon for YouTube.

    Clicking the icon will open a new window that might initially ask you to confirm your First and Last Name to set up a YouTube Channel.

    Once confirmed, click “Sign In” at the top right corner of the screen.

    You will not actually be prompted to enter your ualberta credentials since you are already signed into your email address.

    Click “Upload” to begin uploading videos.

Warnings
  • Choose your Username/Channel wisely! You only have one channel and although it is possible to change it, this requires you to delete your channel and all of its content.

  • YouTube is not currently covered by the University of Alberta's contract with Google. Data you share on YouTube is not the property of the University, and may be accessed by Google for data-mining.
