emaze

Introduction

emaze is an online presentation tool that allows users to create beautiful, flowing presentations with embedded music and/or video.

Why to use it:

  • Free basic plan and extra fancy paid plans, as well as an education discount.
  • Very intuitive, works much like a flowing Power Point.
  • Far more engaging than a standard slide show.

  • A computer or device with a working internet connection

Steps

    1. Go to emaze and sign up using the fields on the right or sign in with Facebook.

    At the pricing pop up, click the “Continue as Free User” link at the bottom right. The “Educator or Student?” link will offer you a discount on a paid subscription.

    To get started, click the “Create New Emaze” button, or the “New” button at the top right.

    Choose your type of creation. Presentation is the most common, and is what will be covered here.

    Once you’ve selected a template you’ll be brought to the main canvas. From here you can add new content from the top, new sections and frames from the top left, and edit current items by clicking on them.

    Don’t forget to save your work as you go along, found at the top right. When you’re ready, click share to post it to social media, send it as a link, or embed your presentation in your website. To view your presentation, click the “View” button. Lastly, if you want to download your emaze, you’ll need to switch to a paid account.

Tips
  • From the Settings button, at the top left, you can change your template, add in custom HTML or Java Script, and add in Search Engine Optimization meta tags.

Warnings
  • With the free plan, presentations made in emaze are public, will have an emaze watermark, and cannot be viewed offline.
