You’ll now be taken to your site’s homepage, which is likely quite plain at the moment. At the top right you can edit the page you’re on with the pencil, add a new page with the page icon, edit the settings for this page or the entire website with the gear, and edit the permissions for your site with the share button.

When the edit button is clicked, the page will reload with a simple What You See Is What You Get (WYSIWYG) editor. You can edit the title and the body text of the page, and there’s a toolbar at the top with basic text editing options, such as font and alignment. Above that toolbar is a menu of options. Insert gives a variety of options for inserting things like images, gadgets, and Google tools. Format gives more text formatting options, table is for manipulating and inserting tables, and layout is to change the layout of the page. When you have completed your changes, remember to click “Save” at the top right.

When you’re happy with your site, you can share it with the world, or just with some, by clicking the the “Share” icon at the top right. It’s very important to remember that if you don’t do this, only you will be able to see your website.
