We provide website support for units within the Faculty of Education, including design, programming, and hosting. We use a content management system (CMS) called Drupal. Our team can customize Drupal sites to give you the functionality you need. We can also ensure your site is mobile friendly.
We provide support for web-based database systems that have general utility for the Faculty as a whole. This includes design, programming, operation, hosting, backup, and recovery support.
Faculty Annual Report
A customized system for entering and tracking academic staff annual reports.
Used by Technologies in Education and other departments to track and manage their computer and equipment inventories.
Used by department offices to administer and run internal ballots for departmental positions and other decisions.
Used to request and track Technologies in Education equipment loans (see Equipment Loans).
Field Experiences On-Line Registration
Accessed by students to submit their personal EDFX program preferences, by schools to submit their lists of available mentor teachers, and by USS to administer the Field Experiences process.
FileMaker Pro server
Central FileMaker server facilitates sharing of databases created by department offices.
Through TIGER grants and other approved projects, we are also working on applications related to research work being done in the faculty and provide mobile application development, including working with technologies such as:
- Android phones and tablets
- Apple (iOS) phones and tablets.
