Spaaze

Introduction

Spaaze is a virtual cork board that can contain multimedia content.

  • CCID and password OR a valid email address.

Steps

    Go to Spaaze.

    Sign up for a free account or sign in with your CCID@ualberta.ca email address.

    In Spaaze, content posted on your board is called an item; there are multiple items – bookmarks, labels, pictures, notes, videos and more. When you create your account you will see a blank board with two options. To see questions others have had answered click on 'spaaze blog' or to get instant preview of what spaaze can do click on 'getting started'.

    To create a new board click on 'default board', and then click on create a new board.

    Note this will cost 50 Spaaze points (please see tips). If you do not wish to spend these points you can begin your first board by deleting the Spaaze blog icon and the getting started icon provided in the next step.

    To delete the blog and getting started icons, hover over them one at a time and you will see two new icons appear, a wrench and a magnifying glass. To delete these icons, click on the trash can icon in the top left corner.

    At the top of your Spaaze board is a menu. To add a new item click on the 'plus' icon, here you will have several options availabe for adding content.

    1. Bookmark- the option to bookmark a webpage directly on your corkboard, add the URL and Name click Ok.
    2. Note – a notepad that allows you to add content, double click on the notepad and begin typing. Youtube/Vimeo – add a video link directly to your corkboard, enter the URL click ok and your video will appear directly on your corkboard.

    3. Image – add a picture from either your own file (click browse) or directly from the web (add URL).
       
    4. File- upload directly from your device , browse, upload and your will an icon appear either a text image or PDF image.

    To edit an item (depending on the type of item) either: double click on the item and edit or hover over the item and click on the wrench icon, you will see that the wrench icon to allows you to edit, resize, preview the items content.

Warnings
