Steps

    Go to Twitter.

    Sign up for a free account.

    You will have to complete the start-up steps on the screen before tweeting can begin.

    From the Twitter homepage, , you can tweet content using 140 characters or less by typing in the 'What's happening?' box, then clicking the 'Tweet' button.

    To delete a tweet you posted, click on the 'Delete' trash icon underneath the tweet. A pop-up menu will appear to confirm this action. Click the delete button.

  • It is important to go into the settings, in the top right corner, to customize your Twitter account. Cutomization of your account may include:

    • security and privacy
    • notifications
    • profile information
    • design
  • Twitter uses the hashtag symbol # before a keyword, phrase or topic. This helps others on Twitter easily search relevant information. The hashtag can occur anywhere in the message.
